| Skylar poked her blonde head in the door, looking around Rachel’s cave. It was dark, with bones and swords littering the ground. “Hello?” she called, stepping into the cave.
Rachel looked up from her book, frowning, and got up from her chair. She noticed a blonde girl standing at the doorway like she’d just come in. “Hello, I’m Rachel. What do you want?”
Skylar jumped and saw a redhead standing in front of an armchair — Rachel . “Hi, Rachel. I’m Skylar, daughter of Ouranos,” she said, keeping her voice in a confident tone. “I noticed there’s been rumors all around about the trident of Poseidon. I went into Chiron’s office, but he wasn’t there, so I decided to talk to you.”
Rachel nodded. “Yes, there are some rumors about the theft of the trident. I don’t know if it’s real —” Suddenly, Rachel stopped speaking. Her eyes glowed green as she chanted,
“Four shall hunt for the sea king’s symbol,
The four shall have to be quick and nimble.
First, find the king of the snow,
Be told in which direction to go.
Second, find the river of black,
From then, there is no going back.
Third, go to the Gorgon’s nest,
Find the item you seek if you pass the test.”
Rachel slumped back onto her armchair, feeling weak and tired.
Skylar’s eyes widened. “Thanks, Rachel!” she yelled before racing out of the cave.
Rachel nodded after her faintly. “You’re welcome,” she mumbled after Skylar. | |
