The Lake

I walk in with my poition and look for the rock-slide. I get everyone who witnessed it to stand in the ocean. I mess with thier minds so they don't remeber it then take care of the rocks. I check that off my list then continue.

Emerald walked to the lake. Her blonde hair was tousled from the breeze. She was wearing a Turkish towel over a blue bikini. She sat down at the edge and dangled her bare feet in the clear blue water.

I walking with that same exsaisted feeling as always. I stand at the waters edge and breathe the freash air.

Emerald looked up, noticing another girl. She wondered if she should say hello, but decided against it. She was enjoying the cool morning.

I relaxe letting my face soften, then I hear someone shift and my face mucles tighten again. I body stiffens and I look like the big boss again. I swivle around to find a girl. I sigh and shake my head slightly. I push my hair out of my eyes and turn back to the lake.

Well, this girl didn’t seem to want to say hi either. Emerald sighed and concentrated. The air crackled and the smell of ozone filled the air. A lighting bolt flew down, zapping Emerald. It did nothing but supply warmth, though.

I barly make a glance at the bolt. I urge the waves to wrap around the girl and carry away the ashes and burnt sand.

Emerald got up, wondering who would talk first. Well, she was not going to stop the silence contest so easily.

I swivle around and look at the girl. "Okay, next time you call down a lightning bolt tell me. So I can clean up your mess." I hand a card to call me. I walk by her and then lay on the sand next to her. "I'm, Nicole daughter of Posideon. I can guess that your a daughter of Zues right?" I swivle my hair around so I'm looking at her.

“Yeah, the name’s Emerald. And you guessed correct, I’m a daughter of Zeus,” Emerald replied, sliding the card on top of her clean Turkish towel.

I nod and lay back. I stare at the sky and have the water lap my bare feet. "So, which activity's are you going to do here?"

“A little bit of everything, I guess,” Emerald replied, staring at the water lapping gently at the sand. “I’m thinking of moving out of the woods. I don’t like the Zeus cabin. There’s a huge, glowering statue of him that isn’t liked by yours truly.”

I laugh. "Well your free to live in the forest. I'll get you a nymph to show you around the forest." I make a list of all the nymphs I know.

Emerald fingered her necklace, which had four beads on it. “No thanks, I know it pretty well.”

I shrug and play with my five beads and look around. "Have you seen Percy Jackson?" He was suppose to meet me here soon.

bic: I smile. "Yeah, she's a nice girl." I make a pouty face. "She lost her boyfriend, so sad." I flip my bangs out of my eyes.

“Well, they’re at Camp Jupiter,” Emerald said, staring at the sky. “I wish we could go,” she added, a little wistfully.

"Maybe we can go when they get this mess fixed." I sigh and look up at the sky. "It's the only problem I can't fix."

Emerald stretched. “Yeah,” she murmured, thoughtfully. The sun was getting hotter by the minute.

I roll up my pant leg and walk out to the water. "Come on, it's hot. The water should cool us down."

Emerald shrugged and dived into the water, gracefully. She waded deeper until water covered her chest.

I dive down into the deepths then come back up. "You wanna see the bottom?" I smile.
